CONSUMER ALERT!
Iomega recently announced
a new warning to owners of external Zip and Jaz Drive owners! It appears that a
batch of bad power supplies were shipped with external Zip and Jaz drives
manufactured between January and February 1999.
The defect they reported is related to electrical shock and possible fire
hazards. Most of these drives were delivered to certain "chain warehouse stores"
which shall remain nameless (but there are a few in the MD/DC/VA area).
You are strongly encouraged to log on to Iomega's web site at www.iomega.com to check your serial number
against their list of devices that may be defective.
We have verified that Computer Country has not sold any of the potentially
hazardous Iomega drives!
Iomega will replace your defective device for free, so be sure to check your
recently purchased Iomega products. :-) |
